Sandy Munoz, MS, LPC, EMDR Trained, Sandtray Certified Therapist
Sandy Munoz is currently accepting new telehealth clients at private pay rates or through select insurances. Hi, I’m Sandy Muñoz, and I would be honored to support you or your child as you navigate life challenges, personal growth, and healing. I work with adolescents and adults who are dealing with trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, stress, and the hard parts of being human. I know therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. I am passionate about learning about your story and exploring the version of yourself that you’d like to become.
My approach is warm, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I hold a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi with an emphasis in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling. I am Certified as a Clinical Sandtray Therapist, EMDR trained, and currently working towards my Registered Play Therapy designation. In my sessions, I use a blend of EMDR, play therapy techniques, parts work (IFS informed), and sandtray therapy, because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. I’ve seen how powerful it can be to combine talk therapy with expressive and experiential approaches, especially when words feel limited. Together, we explore your inner world at a pace that feels right for you, always centering your sense of safety and empowerment.
My work is warm, relational, and collaborative. I practice from a person-centered theoretical orientation because I believe you already hold the strengths and wisdom you need—my role is to help you access them, make meaning of your experiences, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and connected. It is truly an honor to walk beside my clients as they heal, grow, and rediscover their voice.
When I am not working with clients, you can find me exploring new places, spending time in nature, going to concerts, or finding a new exercise class to try. I look forward to meeting you.
